Initial thoughts crit

Today we had quick crit on any ideas we had had over the weekend. I presented 5 physical ideas which I think wasn't quite the right thing to do as peers largely just discussed areas they had researched however I did have some more limited research to discuss also. I presented: findings from the Hepworth, contour map idea, knowledge of Sideling hill, modular right angles idea, continuous line. The crit then suggested that I possibly use actual maps to create my contour idea to give it stronger contextual meaning. Also that I could create an incline amongst my letters maybe even by cutting into them or changing cut off heights. It was also suggested I could use landscape features from Sideling hill such as the layers of rock as a grid system, an area which intrigues me but its hard to see how it would work. The general consensus and thing I'll take away from the crit is the need for a clear and defined rule in my faces.
